The RS822+ includes a suite of reliable file management, sharing and synchronisation solutions, making it a flexible choice for any business. In addition to fast, local access to files, Synology Drive provides easy cross-platform access to file management and sharing tools. Connect and sync data between devices, so remote teams and offices are automatically always up to date.
Use the C2 Storage service to increase performance and reduce maintenance requirements. Synchronise multiple locations using less bandwidth with Hybrid Share, as files only need to be uploaded to C2 servers once. Frequently used data is cached locally on the RS822+ and other connected Synology systems for instant and fast access, and also allows other files to be streamed if required, reducing the amount of storage space required. Plus, with flexible on-demand storage, you can meet unexpected storage requirements.
Private video surveillance
The RS822+ also proves itself as a full-featured video management system that provides complete local ownership of your data. Synology's Surveillance Station is an advanced video surveillance solution for businesses that protects over 500,000 locations. Flexible support for the ONVIF standard and more than 8,300 approved IP cameras makes it easy to deploy and meet the requirements for any site.
The Surveillance Station app makes it easy to set up and manage up to 40 cameras on the RS822+ with a modern and customisable interface. For larger environments or multiple buildings, additional floor plans and overlay on Google or OpenStreetMap maps allow for maximum situational awareness. Your most important recordings are protected and fault tolerance is enhanced with support for backup recording servers, multi-device management (CMS) and optional dual recording to Synology's secure cloud service.
Built-in comprehensive data protection
Back up and protect your data and IT infrastructure with the RS822+. Support for backing up Windows PCs/servers, VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace SaaS systems and more provides comprehensive support for most IT environments in a single interface.
Local snapshots allow files and LUNs to be protected from accidents and threats, such as ransomware, while minimising storage utilisation and restore time objective (RTO). The RS822+ also includes comprehensive system and file backup features that enable secure backups to other Synology systems or the cloud.
