The more than 100-year-old German fortune-telling system has been given a vivid new look by Urban Trösch's artwork using sophisticated techniques. Trösch painted pictures on small wooden plates that were primed with chalk. This was followed by a layered application of egg tempura colors. The result is a work of art with great light power. The 36-card Kipper deck is distinguished from the Lenormand decks by the predominance of cards depicting people. When the cards are laid out, we see many faces looking back at us, making this an ideal deck for dealing with questions about personal relationships.
