The BY-XM6-S2 from Boya consists of two modern, wireless lavalier microphones with built-in batteries. You make recordings both with the built-in microphones of the BY-XM6-S2 and with the separately supplied tie-pin microphones. This allows you to pin up the transmitters within seconds if needed or take your time and pin up the tie-pin microphones. The many included accessories make the BY-XM6-S2 an all-in-one system.
BY-XM6-S2 in practiceSimply unpack the BY-XM6-S2 transmitters and receiver, press the power button and all devices will automatically connect to each other. The system is immediately ready for use. Optionally, attach the windshield to the BY-XM6-S2's built-in microphone. This is only necessary when recording outdoors. By attaching the tie-plate microphones to clothing using the supplied clips and plop caps, you can neatly hide the cables and transmitters. Thanks to the included 3.5 mm cables for cameras (TRS) and smartphones (TRRS), the BY-XM6-S2 is universally usable. If your smartphone does not have a 3.5 mm input, use the separately available Lightning or USB-C cable for iPhone, iPad and Android. See optional accessories.
BY-XM6-S2 Special SettingsRight out of the box, the transmitters and receiver are paired together. If you are in a place where several BY-XM6-S2 systems are present, 10 transmitters and 5 receivers work smoothly side by side on the reliable 2.4 GHz frequency. There are two 3.5 mm ports on the receiver. This allows you to record the sound using the line output and simultaneously listen in through headphones. Via the settings you can choose to hear the sound of both microphones on both the left and right channel or to split the sound. Here one microphone is recorded on the left channel and the sound of the other microphone on the right channel. In post-processing you can adjust the levels individually. There are also several general settings such as the sound level and a mute function.
BY-XM6-S2 applicationThe BY-XM6-S2 allows you to capture high-quality voice at any location. Ideal for interviews, presentations and performances. The built-in battery has a lifespan of 6.5 - 7 hours. With the included cables, you can easily charge the batteries through a USB-A port. This gives you enough capacity for every shoot or film day. On the bright OLED screen you can read the settings under all light conditions. In the supplied bag you can easily take the transmitters, receiver and accessories with you. Currently viewing the set with two transmitters and microphones. There is also a set with one transmitter and microphone. These can be found in the optional accessories.
