It faithfully reproduces the proportions of the historical ship and retains all its essential elements, including armament. The ship has been reproduced as it stood during Operation Berlin 1941 (Atlantic). This was the famous corsair raid in the Atlantic Ocean, in which the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau took part!
The block model of the Genisenau ship has been covered with high-quality prints that do not rub off even during use. Noteworthy is the intricately reproduced shape of the hull and the care taken to preserve as much detail as possible. The model has numerous moving parts such as propellers, rudders, rotating turrets and gun barrels that can be raised and lowered. The set also includes a very sturdy and aesthetically pleasing black display stand and a white plate on which the name of the ship is printed. Although the ship is very large, building it is easy thanks to intuitive instructions based on clear icons. Nearly 2,500 pieces ensure many hours of building and a great result! The Gneisenau ship is an ideal item for fans of history, military technology, militaria and naval science. Once assembled, the ship looks extremely impressive and eye-catching, and is sure to become a decoration for your collection, living room or your office! Express your passion and build history, block by block!
The Gneisenau is a World War II German battleship that entered service on 21 May 1938. Both the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau were a new type of German battleship. They were characterised by their larger size, speed and more powerful armament. They were developed in response to the expansion of the French navy. The Gneisenau took part in a number of combat actions including the famous Operation Berlin of 1941, where she showed good effectiveness. It was sunk on 28 March 1945 at Gdynia to blockade the harbour.
