Ars-Imago 41 is a kit for developing color negative film and is formulated for C-41 treatment it contains the developer, the bleach, the fixer and the stabilizer. Quick and easy to use for a high quality home-made process.
After thorough tests, we've developed a kit that allows great and balanced results without pre-heated baths or tools that pre-heat or maintain the liquids' temperature. Main features and pros One-solution developer, ready to be diluted Extra quick bleach, 45 seconds Great results without temperature control The Kit contains 1 Developer 41 260 ml 1 Bleach 41 1L 1 Fixer 41 500 ml 1 Stab 41 100 ml Preparation: Developer (1+4) 260ml + 740ml water = 1L Bleach (Stock) 1000ml = 1L ready to use Fix (1+1) 500ml + 500ml water= 1L Stab (1+99) 10ml + 990ml water = 1L Alternative process without need of excessive or super precise temperature control.The modern plastic development tanks can maintain temperature pretty well. The thermic shock usually happens because of the contact between the pre-heated solution and the film at environment temperature inside of the tank. The pre-heath bath has the task to make sure that the film and the tank are properly heated to avoid temperature shocks once the developer is poured in. Furthermore, even though the temperature should be as consistent as possible, a 2-3°C allows to obtain good results if the average temperature remains 37,8-38°C. The kit includes all the necessary chemicals to develop 12-20 135/36 films using the diluted solutions within a maximum of 5 weeks. If used within 7-10 days and stocked in dark bottles, it's possible to develop up to 20 films. We recommend developing 2-4 films at a time for a higher efficiency.
