The Aputure Fresnel 2X is the second, improved version of the highly popular light modifier. Despite its compact size, the Aputure Fresnel 2X allows you to adjust the angle of the lamp, making it perfect for film production and photography. The new version of the modifier uses two lenses. The rear element focuses the light onto a larger 6-inch Fresnel lens placed in front. This design significantly reduces light leakage and achieves 2x the light output of its predecessor. A modifier fitted to the Aputure Light Storm LS C120 d II lamp allows the light output to be as much as 14 times more dense. The design of the Aputure Fresnel 2X allows for a conical light beam with an adjustable angle (12°-40°). The method of adjustment has also been improved - it is now done by rotating the ring, making the settings much more accurate. The light beam is directed, polarised and relatively soft, allowing subtle shadows and ideal contrasts to be achieved. Due to their characteristics, lamps equipped with Fresnel lenses are often used as main and rear stage lighting. The Bowens standard mount offers modifier compatibility with many continuous light and flash units. The robust fibreglass housing is provided with ventilation holes for efficient heat dissipation. The Aputure Fresnel allows the fitting of additional modifiers from the manufacturer, such as gates or honeycomb, for even better light control (accessories not included). Safe storage and convenient transportation is provided by the padded case included with the modifier.
