Description
The whetstone from Japan is a unique accessory for sharpening and dressing kitchen knives of any size and shape.
The very coarse grain size of the abrasive fractions (240 and 800 grit) is used for various operations that precede the grinding process itself.
With the help of this combined bar, work involving intensive metal removal is performed.
A whetstone will help to restore the angle of sharpening, the geometry of the blade and the cutting edge; removal of cracks, chips and other defects formed during the use of the knife; change in blade thickness.

- Allows you to remove a large amount of metal from the blade, to chip off the resulting chips and nicks, if necessary, change the thickness of the blade (if the knife is very worn)
- Before use, it is placed in water for several minutes, due to which a suspension is released during sharpening, which plays the role of a lubricant
- The suspension formed during the process functions as a lubricant and a cooler, preventing the blade from being excessively heated by friction
