About Samura:
SAMURA — a team of professionals who create uniquely designed, high-end knives. We started our journey in 2003. We made our first product lines with the Japanese companies MAC and Mcusta. Japanese philosophy and traditions run deep in our DNA. We are absolutely sure that a Japanese knife cuts better than a European one. Japanese knives remain sharper longer and retain their edges longer.
Samura has been making its knives at production sites in four countries since 2010. We are currently producing 18 knife lines and a huge number of kitchen accessories. We use the best modern materials for the handle: Micarta, G10, stabilised wood, plastic with a soft-touch coating, Kraton, and composites.
DAMASCUS 67 knives
Samura 67 is one of the most beautiful and practical knife collections. Sharp blade of damask steel, oval handle, Japanese silhouette of a knife.
If you plan to buy a Japanese Damascus steel kitchen knife, then perhaps a slicer with a long and sharp blade is exactly what you need.
Its hard core is lined with 67 layers of softer steel, which creates a unique pattern on the surface of the blade. Soft layers protect the core from damage and grind faster - this ensures long-lasting kirenaga.
The knife is designed for filigree cutting of delicatessen and other products into the thinnest layers. Slicer Samura is also used to prepare Japanese dishes.
Description
The knife has a very thin, narrow and straight blade. Great for slicing meat and fish fillets, indispensable for cooking Japanese fish dishes. It is constantly used for slicing pieces of sturgeon fillet and ham. The central layer of the knife is VG-10 high-carbon steel, which provides the knife with impeccable cutting properties: long-lasting sharpness and an excellent, aggressive cut. SUS430 and SUS431 patterned linings provide great elasticity, strength and excellent appearance. The handle of the knife, made of micarta, lies comfortably in the hand, does not slip and is resistant to aggressive environments.
