With the compact STERNRADIO IR 2, you can listen to thousands of internet radio stations and podcasts at home thanks to the integrated WiFi. Once integrated into the home network, you can enjoy the almost limitless variety of music, news and stations from all over the world. And even without a permanent power supply. The STERNRADIO IR 2 has a BL5C rechargeable battery that can be changed in a few simple steps. So you can use the device spontaneously and flexibly wherever you have WiFi.
Five radio stations are pre-programmed via direct selection keys: STAR*SAT RADIO, radio B2, radio GOLD, Klassik Radio and Deutschlandfunk. The direct selection buttons can also be assigned according to your own preferences via the favourites control. You can find other Internet radio stations quickly and easily listed by top stations, genres and countries on the large colour display - very easy to select with the practical navigation scroll wheel.
You can save other stations in your personal favourites list. In addition, a number of sound effects have been integrated especially for falling asleep and waking up. Select, for example, the soothing pattering of raindrops, relaxing piano music or birdsong from the so-called sleep radio list. The STERNRADIO IR 2 also offers helpful alarm, snooze and sleep timer functions.
If desired, the display can be dimmed at two levels and even switched from a full colour display to a monochrome view in shades of black and grey. When the unit goes into standby mode, the display shows the time and date as well as local weather information if desired.
As an alternative to internet radio, you can also listen to music on the STERNRADIO IR 2 from playback devices connected via AUX-IN, such as an MP3 player. Or you can stream music from the home network via UPnP to the integrated speaker. Instead of the speaker, headphones can also be used for music output via the 3.5 mm jack port. You can completely disconnect the radio from the power supply via the mains switch on the back of the unit. The STERNRADIO IR 2 can also be controlled with the AirMusic Control App via smartphone or tablet.
